Chris is on cloud nine and in the mood to celebrate his engagement to Charity. But some of the village is less than thrilled to hear of their news.

Rodney and Louise are curious when they receive an invitation from Chris to celebrate a very special occasion that evening.

Meanwhile, Zak is furious to hear that Charity is going to marry Chris. He tries to persuade her that she is making a mistake, but his words land on deaf ears. Kathy visits Chris and suggests that he may regret marrying Charity, but he refuses to listen to her advice.

Zoe is stunned when Viv informs her of her brother’s plans and storms off to confront the happy couple.

Donna is pleased when she discovers that Bob and Viv are planing on going out tomorrow night. She seizes the opportunity and invites Marc around, but her plans to spend the evening with him are scuppered when Eve suggests that they could organise a party instead.

Rodney tells Louise that he is confident that he will soon be the new owner of Mill Cottage.

Zak returns from his hospital check-up with the all clear and Ashley is worried about leaving Bernice on her own when he goes away on his retreat.
