Post-death scene for 'Hollyoaks' Max
Published Monday, Jun 30 2008, 16:00 BST | By Kris Green
Hollyoaks' Max Cunningham walked through the village for the last time on Friday before being mowed down by a car with Niall Rafferty (Barry Sloane) at the wheel.
However, at the end of next week, Max, played by Matt Littler, makes one final appearance in the village – as an apparition watching over his friends and family.
A source at the soap told DS: "We thought it would be a perfect way for us to show how much Max means to Hollyoaks.
"There was no better way than by paying tribute to his late screen father, Gordon 'Mr C' Cunningham [Bernard Latham], who also appeared in a series of episodes as a ghost."
The insider added: "As O.B. [Darren Jon Jeffries] is walking out of the village, viewers will see Max watching over his family and best friend."
In May, Littler announced his decision to leave the Chester-based soap after 10 years in the role.

These scenes air on Friday, July 11 on Channel 4 at 6.30pm.
