McFly feel 'privileged' over 'Hollyoaks'

McFly have thanked Hollyoaks producers for allowing them to make a guest appearance on the soap.

The boyband signed up for a cameo on the Channel 4 show in March and their scenes eventually aired earlier this month.

Speaking in an interview with IN:DEMAND on Manchester's Key103, band member Tom Fletcher confirmed that the group was grateful for the opportunity to perform on the programme.

"It was really good fun. We did it about a month ago," he revealed. "It was an amazing opportunity for us, they had our music throughout the whole show and we were very privileged to be able to be on it. So thank you, Hollyoaks."

The stars then refused to be drawn on their favourite female cast members, explaining that they were only able to meet Emma Rigby (Hannah Ashworth) on set.

McFly recently announced that they are working on a sci-fi concept album which will be released in 2010.
