Gemma Bissix hopes for soap comeback

Gemma Bissix has revealed that she would like her Hollyoaks character to make another shock comeback in the future.

The 26-year-old's villainous alter ego Clare Devine was last seen on the Channel 4 soap in May, when she murdered Warren Fox (Jamie Lomas) in the show's dramatic Stunt Week 2009.

Speaking to Take 5 magazine, Bissix explained: "It was great to go back and see everyone because I lived up there for two years when I was first in the show and really missed everyone when I left.

"You really can't get much better than playing a psychotic murderer turning up in her ripped tights and pouring petrol over everything."

On the possibility of another return, she added: "It depends whether they need someone else to be killed off! I'm just happy to get regular work but I've really enjoyed being a part of Hollyoaks."

Bissix also claimed that there is a chance she could soon reprise her role as Clare Bates in EastEnders.

She commented: "When I left about six months ago they said they were thinking of bringing the character back in a year or so, but it's one of those things. I'll just have to wait and see."

Bissix has also been eyeing a continued career in reality TV, recently discussing her desire to star on Celebrity Come Dine With Me following her stints in Dancing On Ice and Celebrity Masterchef. Get the Inside Soap magazine on your iPhone or iPad
