'Oaks star wants Lily Allen for show

Hollyoaks star Andrew Moss has claimed that Lily Allen should consider appearing on the show.

The actor, who plays Rhys Ashworth on the Channel 4 drama, admitted that he was disappointed to see Allen choosing to make a cameo on Australian soap Neighbours earlier this year.

Speaking to PA, he joked: "I'm going to batter Lily Allen when I see her, because she said she loves Hollyoaks but she's gone and done Neighbours!"

On whether the popstar would choose Hollyoaks for her next soap appearance, he commented: "I don't see why she shouldn't. We've had other people. We had McFly last time. Maybe she wouldn't follow in the footsteps of McFly."

Moss added that he would relish the opportunity to meet Allen after being too scared to approach her at Glastonbury this year.

He said: "One of her mates at the festival came up to me and said, 'Come and meet Lily, she loves Hollyoaks'. But I couldn't. I was too shy."

Allen filmed her Neighbours appearance in June. It will air on Five in November.
