The Welsh songstress makes an appearance in Friday night's episode of the soap spinoff, featuring in a scene with regular character Carmel McQueen (Gemma Merna). She had previously turned down opportunities to be in the programme because she was not confident about her acting abilities.
Tyler's surprise inclusion in the drama sees her offering advice to Carmel in a dream sequence after the beautician ends up behind bars. She then goes on to perform her classic hit 'Holding Out For A Hero'.
Speaking to DS, the star revealed: "Basically I was myself, but I did have to say one or two lines. It's crazy because I can sing to thousands of people and I have no problem, but just to talk a few lines - I had to say to Gemma, how do I say 'Turn around bright eyes'? It's different singing it!"
She added: "It wasn't easy, I've got to be honest."
Tyler also confirmed that she enjoyed working alongside Merna during her day on set.
She commented: "She's lovely, isn't she? Beautiful girl but she's a very talented actress. She's an actress, I'm not!"
Hollyoaks Later continues at 9pm tonight on E4.
