Zoë Lister 'panicking over Hollyoaks exit'
Published Thursday, Dec 3 2009, 18:58 GMT | By Daniel Kilkelly

In June, the 27-year-old announced that she is to bow out of her role as student Zoe Carpenter on the Channel 4 soap after three years.
Reflecting on her choice in an interview with Heatworld, Lister confessed: "[I'm] nervous. Totally panicked. But also very excited - it's going to be a whole new world. I quite like a bit of upheaval in my life every few years. I'm trying to keep a lid on the terror."
This week, viewers have seen Zoe facing trial for the murder of her friend Sarah Barnes (Loui Batley), who recently died in suspicious circumstances during a skydive attempt.
Asked to describe her ideal exit, Lister replied: "I'd really like something positive for her because she's had such a crap year. She really needs to go and do something for herself. On her own and independent. She needs to go find herself."
Meanwhile, on what she will miss most about Hollyoaks, the actress said: "Lame answer, but the truth - the people. Everyone gets on so well, and the crew are just the salt of the earth."
