Ex-'Oaks star for 'Calendar Girls' role

Ex-Hollyoaks actress Mikyla Dodd is to appear in a national tour of hit play Calendar Girls.

The Blackburn-born star will portray Elaine in the production later this year. The show begins its trek on Monday, before visiting Manchester for a two-week stint on February 9.

Dodd, who quit her role on the Channel 4 soap as Chloe Bruce in 2004, is to feature as Miss January from May, along with a whole new cast including Charlie Dimmock and Sue Holderness.

Calendar Girls starring Dodd will then head to venues in Hull, Norwich and Nottingham.
