Pickard: 'Cindy isn't right for Tony'

Hollyoaks star Nick Pickard has claimed that Cindy Cunningham is not the right woman for his character Tony Hutchinson.

Speaking in an interview with Inside Soap, the actor hinted that he believes Jacqui McQueen (Claire Cooper) is Tony's true love.

Discussing Tony's marriage to Cindy, Pickard commented: "I don't think she's the one for him, to be honest.

"Everyone tells Claire Cooper and I that our characters should get together again, so we'll have to wait and see what happens. It'd be fun, wouldn't it?"

Cindy will bow out from Hollyoaks temporarily later this year because Stephanie Waring, who plays the schemer, is expecting her second child.

The show's series producer Paul Marquess recently promised an "outrageous" exit for Cindy and "big plans" for Tony.
