'Oaks star excited over Kathleen return

Hollyoaks star Jorgie Porter has said that she is thrilled over the decision to bring back her screen mother Alison Burrows.

Earlier this month, DS revealed that Burrows is to reappear on screen as scheming Kathleen McQueen before the end of the year.

Viewers first saw Kathleen in 2009's series of Hollyoaks Later, when she was introduced as the mum of Porter's character Theresa. Kathleen then moved over to the main show for a two-month stint.

Speaking to Inside Soap, Porter commented: "I love working with Ali. The scenes we do together are so intense - I hope she stays at Hollyoaks for a lot longer this time."

Kathleen left the village in disgrace back in February after it emerged that she had been stealing money from the bank account of her deceased niece Tina.

The character's comeback storyline will see her discovering one of the McQueens' darkest secrets before blackmailing the family.
