POTD: Cheryl receives a shock in 'Hollyoaks'

Cheryl is left feeling unsettled after she gets a blast from the past in tonight's episode of Hollyoaks.
While on a trip to Ireland with Mercedes and Lynsey, the nightclub owner is surprised to meet old friend Pete, who soon reveals that he's moving to Hollyoaks tomorrow to take up the position of headteacher at the high school.
Shocked by the news, Cheryl complains to Mercedes and Lynsey that Pete's arrival is going to cause trouble. Mercedes is confused until Lynsey reveals there's some bad blood between Pete and Brendan…
Speaking in a recent interview with DS, Peter Mitchell - who plays Pete - teased: "Obviously there is history between Pete and Brendan. The interesting thing is that Brendan is always in control - of his past, of his friends and of his enemies.
"But Pete has a bit of a hold over him. It doesn't take long to find out why, either - the story comes out very quickly!"
Hollyoaks airs tonight at 6.30pm on Channel 4.
