'Oaks star: 'Darren still wants Nancy'

Ashley Taylor Dawson has confirmed that his Hollyoaks character Darren Osborne still wants a relationship with Nancy Hayton.

The pair were together briefly earlier this year, but they went on to split after Darren's ex-lover Suzanne Ashworth returned to the village and gave birth to his baby twins.

However, with Suzanne back in Spain with the children next week, Darren seizes an opportunity when rich Cindy Longford employs him as her chauffeur.

Discussing the impact of Darren's new job, Dawson told Inside Soap: "Obviously, Nancy's a bit jealous. So Darren gives her an ultimatum - he'll gladly walk away from the job but only if she'll get back together with him.

"Darren's an opportunist. He wants to be with Nancy and thinks this is a way of forcing her to admit she feels the same way. They have a tempestuous relationship, even if it's also very sweet."

Dawson has also previously hinted at a possible future for Darren and Cindy, claiming that there is "unfinished business" between the former couple.
