Hollyoaks actors Rob Norbury and Craig Vye have decided to take part in a charity skydive alongside their co-star Rachel Shenton.

Last month, it was revealed that Shenton - better known as glamour girl Mitzeee Minniver on the soap - had agreed to jump from a plane at 10,000 feet in order to raise funds for the National Deaf Children's Society (NDCS).

Since then, Norbury and Vye - who play footballer Riley Costello and detective Ethan Scott respectively - have both signed up to join Shenton when she takes part in the challenge later this month. The trio are now encouraging members of the public to join them by registering for the charity event themselves.

Speaking of the skydive, Norbury commented: "It's fantastic to be helping out NDCS in providing vital services to deaf children and supporting them to have a brighter future. I'm excited and a little nervous about doing my first ever skydive! I hope lots of people will join me, Craig and Rachel for this experience and help make a difference."

Vye added: "It's an absolute pleasure to be supporting a charity which transforms the lives of many deaf children in a big way. We are really getting into the spirit of raising funds for the valuable cause."

The skydive is taking place in Bicester, Oxfordshire on March 26 and the cause is particularly important to Shenton as her late father was deaf in the final two years of his life.

Helen Lerwill, head of community and events for NDCS, said: "Having Rachel offer her support in this was fantastic, and now we have not one but three Hollyoaks stars jumping out of a plane for us! We are very grateful to Rob, Craig and Rachel for supporting our work to break down barriers for deaf children.

"95% of our work to help deaf children is funded by the public, so the commitment of people like Rob and Craig is vital in helping us provide much-needed services to deaf children and young people."

Fans can sponsor the trio's efforts via their Justgiving page, which can be found by clicking here.
