BBC One's EastEnders was enjoyed by 8.74m (38.2%) from 7.30pm, as Christian told Syed that he must make a choice about their future. The repeat screening fetched 923k (4.7%) on BBC Three from 10pm.
Emmerdale averaged 7.25m (33.5%) for ITV1 from 7.00pm and 152k (0.7%) on +1 as Sandy was left hurt when he thought that Ashley wanted to offload him.
BBC One's Holby City grabbed 5.64m (24.2%) in the 8pm hour for the episode 'Culture Shock', featuring Sahira's frustration with the new rules at work.
Earlier in the day, Doctors entertained 1.69m (21.2%) on BBC One from 1.45pm, while Neighbours had 668k (8.2%) on Channel 5. The Aussie drama's repeat screening was watched by 1.11m (7%) from 5.30pm.
Home and Away managed 870k (4.6%) on Channel 5 from 6.00pm, before 5*'s first look at the next episode pulled in 568k (2.7%).
