The off-screen couple – who play Sarah Barnes and Simon Crosby in the Channel 4 soap – hope to train up 11 to 16-year-olds in order to give them a head start in the industry.
Speaking to Digital Spy, Batley said: "We're hoping that on a weekly basis we'll have different actors in to help with the workshops. I've already spoken to my Hollyoaks pal Emma Rigby as well as a few others. There'll be someone new to help out every week. Simon's worked on Shameless, so hopefully some of their cast will help out, too.
"We're holding open auditions for places in the workshops on Saturday at the Casting Factory on Victoria Street in Liverpool from 9am. We're asking anyone who wishes to attend to bring a monologue with them or, alternatively, they can read one of the scripts we'll be providing."
She continued: "If we spot potential, we'll train them up, recommend them to casting directors that we know and if we hear of any auditions or castings on the horizon, we'll put them forward."
Of her screen counterpart, she revealed: "Sarah's having a bit of trouble at the moment – as always! – when she finds out about her father's relationship with Zoe.
"Elliot also falls for her in a big way and I don't think Sarah sees him in that way at all. She ends up going behind his back with Roger and a lot of stuff happens there. Safe to say that Elliot doesn't come out of it too well…"
Speaking of her former co-star Guy Burnet, she added: "I do keep in touch with Guy when I can. But it's not the same without having him around!"
