Gest still interested in 'Hollyoaks' role

David Gest has reiterated his interest in making a guest appearance on Hollyoaks.

The I'm A Celebrity... star told actress Sarah Jane Buckley (Kathy Barnes) that he would love to star in the Channel 4 soap.

DS revealed last June that Gest had met with Hollyoaks casting directors but nothing had been confirmed.

However, Buckley said he was still interested, telling the Daily Express: "He and I met at an awards ceremony. I didn't think he would know who I was but he strode over and said, 'You're the crazy mum from Hollyoaks."

She added: "He would really love a part in the show. He took myself and some other cast members to a bar for a chat - he was really lovely and we swapped numbers."
