Exclusive: 'Hollyoaks' casting news

Five fresh faces are headed to Hollyoaks in the coming weeks in the form of Fisher and Roy family relatives, I can exclusively reveal.

The Roy family number will increase three-fold in November when Ravi (Stephen Uppal) and sibling Leila's (Lena Kaur) mother, father, brother and sister arrive in the village.

It was always the producers' intention to extend the family in time, and even the four additions to the Roy unit won't turn up all at once. They'll be introduced and built upon gradually, in the same way as Ravi and Leila.

Meanwhile, we'll be exploring Kris (Gerard McCarthy) and Malachy Fisher's (Glen Wallace) background towards the end of the year when 'Ma Fisher' arrives in Hollyoaks.

My sources tell me that Gerard is extremely excited about producers casting Gemma Craven in the role. If, like me, you're wondering who on earth she is, well she's apparently a goddess in the acting world over in Ireland.

To be honest, I'm just glad that they'll be giving Kris and Malachy more screen time.
