Poll: How was 'Hollyoaks Later' for you?
Published Saturday, Oct 3 2009, 00:02 BST | By Kris Green | 15 comments
Last week's EastEnders poll 'Who's The Daddy?' Revisited turned out quite an interesting result.
We have a new favourite!
Cast your minds back to the original 'Who's The Daddy?' poll where Minty Peterson (Cliff Parisi) emerged as DS readers' choice as the most likely suspect.
But another name has now taken the lead from Minty in the BabyDaddy stakes.
This time, the guy she met in R&R earlier in the year, Eddie (Will Chitty), bagged 36.2% of the vote, taking a clear lead over the rest of the field. Meanwhile, 19.5% of those polled chose Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden). Third favourite was Darren Miller who took 18.4%, while Minty Peterson and Billy Mitchell had 15.7% and 10.1%, respectively.
It's not long to wait until we officially find out. I wish I could even give a hint but I'd be strung up if I did. And that wouldn't be very nice, would it?
And so to this week's Hollyoaks Later vote, in which I ask, 'How was it for you?'

Personally, I thought this year's Later was amazing. The perfect balance of humour, drama, action and outright ridiculousness. The McQueens descent on London made for some hilarious viewing and culminated in one of the best and most bizarre dream sequences I think Hollyoaks has ever done. Who'd ever have thought that Bonnie Tyler would be singing 'Holding Out For A Hero' with Carmel (Gemma Merna)?!
Then the skydive. For me, there is only one word to describe those scenes - 'Wow'.
The Ashworths' storyline gave a much-needed break from the monotonous plots they've been subject to in the main show, while the Cindy (Stephanie Waring) and Tony (Nick Pickard) plot had a bit of everything.
What did you think? Let me know by casting your vote using the panel below.

thought it was amazing. Hannah/Rhys/festival plot was a little confusing, but Sarah's death HAS to win an award :) x

I expected much better from Bryan Kirkwood. The way Hannah changed was ridiculous. Are viewers really expected to believe that she would give up her fmaily and friends to start a new life with a drug dealer she's only known for 3 days?! Plus, I don't like the way Hollyoaks writers keep giving Hannah storylines where she tries not to be 'boring' - they should have more storylines where characters should be proud of who they are and their interests. They always turn the good girls bad/wrong - Lucy Benson became a drug addict, Anna (a student from years ago) cheated on her boyfriend Alex once and was shunned, Lisa Hunter sleeping around, Becca sleeping with a student, Sasha and drugs, Tina cheated on Dom and was practically never forgiven, now Hannah and drugs... The Lydia/Sarah/Zoe plot was really good. I didn't expect Zoe to get arrested. Tony Hirst's acting was brilliant when Mike broke down after the police spoke to him. The Tony and Cindy wedding was ridiculous. I can't believe Tony would marry someone who he doesn't love and he knows is only with him for his money. I really wanted Cindy and Darren to get married by the end of the week. And the Bonnie Tyler cameo was pointless. After all the fuss about it I thought it would've been better but I just didn't see the point of it.

Agree with most, the Skydiving was perfections, best soap stunt. And the emotion from Mike just too heartbreaking. Tony/Cindy story was good fun. The McQueens was just tedious, though Carmels dream was good, the rest wasn't and the Ashworths story was just daft and mostly rubbish.

The sky-diving storyline and Sarah's exit (finally!) was brilliant (and the only time I've ever had any sympathy for that endlessly annoying character!).. Mike's reaction was heart-renching. The Ashworths stuff however was rubbish, highly unbelievable and annoying.. the Hannah stuff was really ridiculous. I watched it on 4OD and skipped through all of their scenes. The McQueens stuff was ok I guess.. and Tony & Cindy etc added some nice relief. Cut out of the Ashworths & it was all in all pretty good. If it was just Sarah/Zoe/Lydia it was outstanding. Still my favourite Later was the one with Toby, Dan & Ellie.

AWEsome! Is all I can say, Specially Sarahs's death scene, for them to show the actural impact of her hitting the ground was unexpected, I thought it would just fade to black but doing it like that made it much more realistic and heart wrenching, as with the other storyline were well acted and played out. Although I thought the Mcqueens storyline could of ended alot quicker. All in all thought better then last year and keep them coming I love them :D

Last years was much better, even if it was produced by Lucy Allen. Just goes to show that shes good at storylines over a short period whereas Kirkwood is good at the longwinded stuff.

Ill say amazing....but that's all down to the skydiving storyline. Loui and Zoe were fantastic in it. The rest was quite blah

I though it was one of the best hollyoaks done to date. I loved the storylines and thought the skydiving was amazing. I laughed, I cried and I shouted at the tv. Amazing! I have watched hollyoaks since day one and am now 33 and still loving it. Keep it up!

I think the Ashworths story went a little bit TOO far, it was well done but Hannah falling in love so fast made it out of character and unbelievable. However the skydive scenes were simply 'Wow' as you described. Overall brilliant.
