'Hollyoaks': Your favourite new Fresher revealed

Hollyoaks rebel Ash Kane has emerged as the most popular new Fresher in a Digital Spy poll.

Show bosses recently introduced Ash, Annalise, Barney, Rob and Scott as five new characters for Hollyoaks Community College, and we asked you to pick your favourite from the gang earlier this week.

Ash, played by Holly Weston, proved triumphant in our poll, attracting 40.6% of the vote. In the past fortnight, viewers have seen her strike up a friendship with Will Savage, strip at the SU Bar and worry about not fitting in as she still lives at home.

Annalise, played by Tamaryn Payne, came second with 21.0%, followed by Scott, Rob and Barney with 14.1%, 13.7% and 10.6% respectively.

Hollyoaks airs weeknights at 6.30pm on Channel 4 and at 7pm on E4.
