'Hollyoaks' Cindy downfall, 'Doctors' Heston troubles

 |  By  |  10 comments
Hollyoaks' feisty businesswoman Cindy Longford finds herself behind bars in the New Year when she incurs the wrath of the McQueen family.

Cindy (Stephanie Waring) suffers an unfortunate change in fortunes in early January when bailiffs turn up to seize her assets following a series of poor financial decisions.

Now struggling for cash for the first time in a year, Cindy cannot afford to pay Carmel (Gemma Merna) for all the hard work she has done at Cinergy recently.

When the McQueens learn that Cindy isn't going to pay up, vengeful Jacqui (Claire Cooper) and Myra (Nicole Barber-Lane) decide to make things even by looting the spa instead - and they're soon joined by some of the other local ladies!

Cindy soon discovers what is going on and calls the police, who arrive to discover that a huge brawl has broken out. With arrests quickly made, how will Cindy, Jacqui, Carmel, Myra, Lynsey, Cheryl and Nancy cope as they're all banged up in a cell together?

Over on Doctors, as Heston returns to work in the New Year, he lies to his colleagues about his injuries.

Fans recently saw Heston (Owen Brenman) get attacked by his unstable partner Marina (Marian McLoughlin), but rather than confide in anyone about her violence, he finds himself keeping quiet in early 2012.

When quizzed by Karen, Julia and Elaine about his appearance, Heston's excuse is that he fell off a stool while decorating the Christmas tree. However, as Heston continues to arrive at The Mill with fresh injuries, Freya (Lu Corfield) begins to get suspicious.

Feeling utterly trapped, Heston continues to protect Marina by making up stories - but how long will he be able to suffer in silence?
