Amy (Ashley Slanina-Davies) is heading for heartbreak in the coming days as she splits from her Australian boyfriend Ally Gorman, leading her to make a big decision about her future.
Initially struggling with the break-up, Amy heads off for a boozy night out with best friend Michaela McQueen to take her mind off things.
However, when she returns home, events take an unexpected turn as Amy drunkenly tries to make a move on a horrified Ste!
Amy feels humiliated after being rejected by Ste (Kieron Richardson), especially when he confronts her over her behaviour the next morning.
In the end, Amy decides that she needs a change in her life and announces that she is leaving Hollyoaks. Ste is then forced to say a tearful goodbye to Amy and the kids as they leave the village behind.
Later in the week, as Ste struggles without his family around, there is further drama in store for his personal life as Doug's parents Connie (Julia Montgomery-Brown) and Herb (Todd Boyce) arrive in the village unexpectedly.
Connie and Herb have no idea that Doug (PJ Brennan) is gay, and the deli owner enlists Leanne's help as he is scared to tell them the truth about his sexuality.
As Leanne (Jessica Forrest) announces that she is Doug's girlfriend and they're expecting a baby together, Connie and Herb are delighted. But how will Ste react?

Over on EastEnders, Shirley Carter proposes to Phil Mitchell as she realises just how much she loves him.
The romantic moment for the pair takes place on the day of Shirley's sponsored abseil next month.
Shirley (Linda Henry) is planning to abseil down the Queen Vic to raise money for George's trust fund, but as the big day arrives, she is plagued with doubts over whether she can really go through with it.
When it later turns out that the abseil kit hasn't arrived, it seems that Shirley's feet will be staying firmly on the ground. However, Phil (Steve McFadden) urges his partner to conquer her fear of heights by getting on The Vic's roof anyway.
Shirley agrees on the condition that Phil joins her, and as a crowd watches below, she makes her way up onto the top of the building with Phil supportively coaching her through every step.
Realising how much Phil means to her and how much she needs him, a touched Shirley then asks him to marry her…

Coming up on Coronation Street, Deirdre Barlow becomes concerned as the destructive relationship between Tyrone Dobbs and Kirsty Soames takes a new twist.
Tyrone (Alan Halsall) tries to take a firmer approach with Kirsty (Natalie Gumede) next month after she lashes out at him once again with her most shocking attack yet.
When Tyrone urges Kirsty to seek help for her anger issues if they're to have any future together, she reluctantly agrees to see Doctor Carter - genuinely accepting that she needs to change.
However, when the time comes for her appointment, Kirsty gets cold feet and rushes out of the surgery - leaving Deirdre (Anne Kirkbride) bemused.
Kirsty later lies to Tyrone by telling him that everything is fine, claiming that Doctor Carter believes her problems are merely due to pregnancy hormones.
As the day continues, though, Tyrone discovers that Kirsty didn't attend the appointment, and immediately confronts the unstable factory worker over her deception.
When an argument erupts between the couple in the back yard at Number 9, Kirsty desperately tries to grab Tyrone - but he shoves her away.
Kirsty stumbles over and sustains an injury of her own, just as Deirdre walks in. How will Tyrone react when Deirdre suspects that he is beating Kirsty?

Meanwhile, Emmerdale's Marlon Dingle will soon decide that it's time to stand up to Paddy and Rhona over their plans to move to New Zealand with Leo.
Vowing to do everything possible to stop the couple from taking his son away, Marlon (Mark Charnock) resigns as Paddy's best man just days before his wedding - wanting to concentrate on a possible legal wrangle.
With the full support of Laurel, Marlon then pays a visit to a solicitor and is soon assured that he can make sure the move doesn't happen.
As the day of Paddy and Rhona's wedding arrives, Marlon decides to attend the ceremony after all. But can he bring himself to ruin their special day by revealing that he's applied for a court order ensuring that Leo won't be going to New Zealand?

EastEnders was the big winner of our storyline poll last week as 61.4% of you chose Ian Beale's return as the best plot.
Coronation Street took second place with 17.6% for Ryan's drugs story, while Hollyoaks was third with 12.3% for the latest Browning and Mercedes developments.
