Is Father Kieron really sticking with 'Hollyoaks'?

Published Saturday, May 31 2008, 10:05 BST | By Kris Green | 15 comments
Last week, Sharon Marshall announced on This Morning that, owing to online petitions, Hollyoaks bosses had made the decision to keep Father Kieron Hobbs (Jake Hendriks), as opposed to killing him off as various rumours have suggested.

However, a source at the Channel 4 soap's production house Lime Pictures tells me that "the fate of Kieron has yet to be determined".

Make of that what you will. I think that everything's up in the air as far as Kieron's concerned. He's a really good actor and character, but I think the storyline's very much going to dictate his fate...

He's FIT AS!

I don't want John Paul back with Craig. He's always been a scam merchant and he knowingly played JP and Sarah right down the line. He was abusive and physically violent to JP on more than one occasion. Craig has only ever loved himself. At least Kieron loves JP.

I hope Kieron stays he's a good character and I think the storyline with John Paul is good too :) I don't want Craig and him to get back together, though.

I think JP and Kieron have no chemistry, but I have no objection to Kieron staying in the show once JP has left with Craig. However, I do wonder what role a disgraced ex priest would legitimately have?

Personally I think anything that happens - or doesn't happen - to dear old Father Kieron has been planned for a long time, though we may be waiting for a while to see what that is. I also think though that when JP leaves it will be with, or to, Craig. Thank God. I'm also very happy to acknowledge though that Kris is very much more likely to know what's planned than any of us.

Thanks, Kris. I did wonder though how his fate can still be undetermined, given they write so far in advance. I think it's all just smoke and mirrors right now and his true fate is to be a surprise - we get conflicting information to keep us on our toes.

I think while he won't be killed off any more as originally intended, he and John Paul may leave together at some point in the autumn...

I really like FK and JP. I think they have a lot of chemistry which is pretty impressive for two straight actors. Don't bring back Craig he doesn't derserve JP!

Get rid of him! I think he's the most stupid, least believable character on TV at the moment. Can't John Paul have a storyline that doesn't involve gay affairs?? I cringe every time I have to see Kieron and John Paul confessing their 'love' for each other.

Me too, Sean! Yep hope he goes!

It'll be dramatic if Kieron dies, and Niall uses it to cause trouble for JP and that he needs Craig to be there for him.
Danny, Manchester, on May 31st, 2008
From what I've heard, his fate for the near future has been determined and it doesn't involve death or leaving for good.
K., Essex, on May 31st, 2008
I really want Father Kieron to stay. John Paul deserves to be happy.
Sean, Wigan, on May 31st, 2008
I hope Kieron dies so Craig can reunite with JP, or if he lives, make the two reunite in front of FK...
Andy, on May 31st, 2008
I'm glad he is not being killed off but the spoilers do say he's leaving, which is very sad as I like Kieron a lot.
