2376: Darren suggsts Jack and Frankie emigrate

Today's the day when the Osbornes' debts should be cleared and Darren relishes the feeling of thousands of pounds in his hands. Downstairs, Newt confides in Kris how much he's missing Jack and that he's dreading going back to school tomorrow. Darren is dismayed when Frankie insists she can't go through with the hand over, however, realistically, she's the only person left to do it - if it was up to Darren, he'd never make it past the bookies!

Frankie's anxious when she finds Newt in the park, the last thing he needs is him to witness her paying off the loan sharks. Seizing the moment, she offers him some cash, and sends him on his way. Back at the Dog, Frankie returns and is amazed how Darren can act so callously when her world has been destroyed. A crash from upstairs alerts them something's not right and when they rush into the flat, they discover a dishevelled Jack. Darren suggests Jack can live upstairs in the attic, but before Frankie can vocalise her horror, Newt makes a surprise entrance. After sending him packing again, Frankie unleashes her fury at them both, but is rendered speechless when Darren suggests they do a bunk to Spain…

Hannah and John Paul attend a record fayre being held in the SU Bar when they come across an advert for 'Entertainments Officer'. John Paul insists Hannah should apply for the position, but she laughs off the suggestion. When Kris arrives, he announces John Paul has a surprise to tell her, and a delighted Hannah is thrilled to hear about his engagement to Kieron. When a tipsy Hannah announces she's nominated herself for Entertainments Officer, Kris and John Paul are surprised but pleased by her decision and vow to support her.

Mercedes is determined to make this relationship with Malachy more than just sex and embarks on a quest to tell him about herself. With the greatest of intentions, Malachy attempts to listen, however, they soon end up back where they started as their undeniable attraction refuses to abate.

Meanwhile, Myra's intrigued to hear that Kieron's been in contact with her son's foster mother who wants to help in her search for her son. As the reality of her situation dawns, Myra back peddles, listing her concerns on how her son will perceive her - how will he ever forgive her for abandoning him if she can't forgive herself? John Paul's suffocation increases when Myra appears with Kieron and he announces she's their new wedding planner…

Michaela's fantasy of her and Mike plays along happily in her head, while on the outside, she gives nothing away. Thinking she's being supportive towards Amy, Michaela fails to see she's actually winding her up and although she's delighted by Mike's invitation to come for tea, Amy is far from thrilled with the idea. Mike encourages Michaela to enter a competition in the local newspaper, and after much deliberation she agrees - but only if Mike helps her.
