2391: Newt's shocked by what he sees

Newt is finding it difficult to cope with all the attention when Frankie and Darren hear about his success in the writing competition. Meanwhile, Michaela's furious to discover Newt has beaten her in the writing competition and vents her anger at him.

In an unforgiving mood, Michaela confronts Newt in Mobs. As the argument spirals out of control, an unsuspecting Darren finds himself caught in the backlash. After throwing them out from Mobs, Cindy arrives at the Dog to an unwelcome reception behind the bar. Confronting Darren, the banter flows and she soon wangles herself a dinner invitation! Alone in the flat, Newt is alarmed to hear noises coming from the kitchen. Steeling himself to investigate, nothing can prepare him for the ghostly vision that awaits his arrival.

Tina's excited to be starting college, while poor Dominic feels sidelined when he's left holding the baby. Leila bumps into Justin at HCC and although awkward with each other, her attention is soon taken in showing Tina around the campus. As the excited girls bond, Dominic meets Tony in the Village and is persuaded to taste his latest menu.

Leila and Tina spend a busy afternoon on their tour of HCC while Tony and Dominic reminisce over the past and life before wives, girlfriends and babies. Taking her frustrations out on an easy target, Jacqui arrives and soon unleashes her wrath at Dom before he makes a quick exit. Back on campus, an accident prone Leila soon finds herself in hot water after a collision with Justin. After a visit to hospital, she informs a concussed and confused Justin that she's his girlfriend!

Jacqui's fury is fuelled by John Paul's disappearance and by the problems related to getting her business up and running. Refusing help from Tony, she steadfastly maintains she can do it alone. However, after a run in with Michaela about whether she's going to help her with the shop, Jacqui's mood deepens as the logistical difficulties of running her own business spiral out of control. Jacqui's mad to discover that Tina's left Max to return to college and makes no qualms in letting Tony know how she feels about the situation. Her mood blackens further when Michaela calls in to tell her she doesn't want a job in the new shop, before inadvertently letting slip to Tony the nature of Jacqui's new business - a tanning salon!

Amy's anger builds when Ste insists he wants to be part of their baby's life. Reaching the end of her tether, Amy's resolute when she maintains he's no better than his step-dad and that there's no way he'll be involved in their lives again. Pleading with her, Ste is devastated to hear that she's been for the baby scan without him.
