
As Gareth cooks for Elliot, the pair enjoy their time together as father and son. Leila goes to see Elliot in the hope that Gareth may have confessed the truth about Maynard. Finding Elliot defensive, Leila decides to show him the photos of Maynard - revealing his true age.
Just as Elliot's about to confront Gareth, Elliot's mother Bonnie arrives at the door. She immediately clashes with Gareth, leaving Elliot in the middle and Leila feeling awkward on the fringe of the domestic discord.
In the heat of the argument between Gareth and Bonnie, Elliot finally learns that Gareth cheated on his mother. Gareth tries to explain to Elliot that he loved Maynard's mother and that the situation isn't as black and white as it seems. Elliot, however, feels upset and betrayed, so Gareth leaves to give Elliot some space.

Meanwhile, Abi and Daniel clash over their plans for baby Lucas. Feeling for Ste in his weary state, Abi decides to stop drugging Ste and throws the pills away. Abi shares a tender moment with Ste as he prepares for an interview with Tony and on his return, Ste finds Abi in tears.
Assuming that Abi's upset about marital strife with Daniel, Ste offers a shoulder to cry on and takes her out to the park with Lucas. Tensions rise when Daniel finds them together and Ste presumes that he's getting in the way so offers to find a new place to stay.

Elsewhere, Gilly becomes increasingly jealous of Steph and Fernando and when he sees them returning from an all-night date, he's gutted. With the Ashworths preparing for a Spanish-themed night at The Dog, Fernando volunteers Steph to help with the food, believing her to be an excellent cook.
Worried that her lack of culinary skills will be exposed, Steph turns to Gilly for help in the kitchen. The pair are a successful team, but Gilly's hopes of taking their friendship to the next level are dashed when Fernando whisks her away to dance. Gilly can only watch as Steph melts into Fernando's arms.
