Just as Sarah calls the police, Daniel shows up with Lucas as if nothing's happened. Zoe joins Sarah in pressing Daniel for the truth but he deflects the concerns onto Ste by lying about what happened between them the previous night. After everything, Ste's convinced that he's incapable of looking after Lucas by himself and agrees to let Abi and Daniel take him for his own good.
Both Sarah and Zoe remain dubious, but decide not to take things further with the police. As they debate with Abi and Daniel as to what's best for Lucas, they soon realise that Ste has wandered off with the baby. Ste takes Lucas to the park to say a final goodbye before handing him over to Daniel.

Still upset over his father's lies and subsequent departure, Elliot starts drinking while Zak and Kris begin selling their dodgy pills to the likes of Myra. A drunken Elliot then derails the scheme by announcing that the pills are useless, yet Kris and Zak are sympathetic to Elliot's situation anyway.
Elliot's left alone with the remaining pills, a combination which arouses the suspicions of a passing policeman. Elliot runs, before lashing out at the policeman in the process…

When the students pick up their results, Josh is depressed on seeing his low grades in black and white - including a humiliating 'U' - while Michaela's both surprised and delighted to get three 'B's and a 'C'. As Josh struggles to find a university place in clearing, Michaela suggests that they both enroll at HCC to minimise their student loan debts.
Although not quite what he'd planned, Josh is tempted by the idea. On returning to The Dog to face his family, Josh struggles to admit the truth and instead tells his parents that he got in. The reward of a car is short-lived, however, as Michaela blurts out the truth about Josh's low grades. Josh resolves to go to HCC after all, but Neville insists that the car will have to wait until he graduates.
