2646: Newt wakes next to a bloodied Gaz
This is a special non-linear week. Stories throughout the week follow the same timeline, but don't play out in chronological order.

Newt, Lauren and Anita arrive at the cottage and the sexual tension between Newt and Anita is palpable. On the verge of kissing, they're interrupted when an oblivious Lauren wanders in. As Newt takes his medication, they're startled by a knock at the door. They're relieved to discover that it's only Ricky. Unbeknown to them, however, a hooded figure stands watching the cottage.

During a walk in the woods, Anita falls behind and is accosted by her nemesis Gaz who looms over her. Accusing her and the rest of the Roys of ruining his life, Gaz asks her how Theresa will feel when she finds out about her and Newt - revealing he's filmed their encounter on his mobile phone. With that, Gaz offers her a deal - if she sleeps with him, he'll keep quiet.

Luckily, the other teens return and find Anita with Gaz. Newt's angry, but seizing the upper hand, Gaz is quick to point out that Lauren invited him and before they know it, everyone's heading back to the cottage. Things soon spiral out of control when Gaz turns nasty and Ricky's on the receiving end of his fury.

Loving his new found power, Gaz suggests that they play a game and is soon orchestrating truth or dare - forcing Newt and Anita to kiss. Leading the game with menace, Newt and Ricky decide that enough is enough and attempt to halt Gaz in his tracks. However, as they flee into the forest, events take a turn for the worse and Newt's literally left with blood on his hands.

Meanwhile, Mercedes has her hands full helping look after Lucas when she discovers that Malachy's been offered a top-notch job - in Canada. As they discuss the pros and cons of a job abroad, we sense that Mercedes is far more reluctant to relocate than Malachy. Using his HIV as an example for staying local, Malachy can only hope that she'll come around to his way of thinking. Confiding her fears to Myra, Mercedes thinks that everything's moving too fast – and in addition, Malachy's changed his mind about having kids and is looking into ways they can have a family.

Myra urges her daughter to speak to Malachy about her fears - after all, their future is something that they need to decide together. Malachy faces a similar reaction from Kris when he tells him about the offer of a job in Canada and Kris is confident that he'll be going nowhere as Malachy's under the thumb. A little worse for wear, Malachy returns home to find Mercedes has made a decision - it's a 'yes' to Canada and it's also full steam ahead to starting a family…

Elsewhere, at a book fair in the SU, Archie tries to cajole Elliot into talking to Leila but he's adamant that there's no point. Unable to take his eyes off her, Elliot's horrified by Archie's suggestion that Leila will more than likely have a one-night stand to get him out of her system. Meanwhile, Leila's alarmed when she gets the same sort of advice from Cheryl about Elliot.

A tentative Elliot approaches Anita and asks how things are at home. Hearing that things are pretty much the same, he offers to spend some time with her, but Leila declines and after a chat with Archie, cuts a lonely figure as she heads home alone.
