Frustrated that he's being badgered, Josh leaves the flat and heads to The Dog, where an anxious Rhys has to explain their parents won't be around for his birthday. A resentful Josh starts drinking and before too long, he turns nasty.
Gilly attempts to get to the bottom of Rhys and India's 'friendship', but Rhys evades answering his questions. A worried Amy finally tracks Josh down and encourages him to make amends with his family. Mistaking her concern for something more, Josh leans in for a kiss.
Spurning his advances, Amy puts him straight, before walking away. Josh apologises to Rhys and Gilly for his earlier tantrum but India's appearance heralds a return to his dark mood. Rhys is further shocked when Josh makes a shock announcement that threatens the brothers' relationship forever…
Meanwhile, Leo has a spring in his step and a twinkle in his eye after spending the night with Myra. Insisting that it's time he started behaving like a good dad, Leo announces to Calvin that he's cooking a family meal. Lauren has other ideas, though, and upsets Sasha with her selfishness when she refuses to attend the meal if Gaz isn't invited. Gaz assures Lauren that if the family meal means that much to her, he'll sweet-talk Spencer into bagging him an invite.

Calvin suggests they should kill Lauren's relationship with Gaz through kindness. Leo agrees and takes great delight in watching Gaz splutter his way through a very spicy family meal. Aware that Leo's playing dirty, Gaz continues to rile him until finally he's eventually turfed out.
Elsewhere, the McQueens are reeling as the news of the compulsory purchase order begins to sink in. As Jacqui, Mercedes and Michaela discuss the pros and cons of moving, they soon decide to move into places of their own. Pulling out all the stops to save the house, Carmel's surprised when Myra suggests that it might be God's will that they move out.
Carmel, however, won't let Myra give up so easily and when the other sisters agree that they'll back Myra whatever she decides, the family matriarch begins to waver. Myra finally decides that she's going to stay put - if the council want a fight, then that's what they'll get.
