2948: Steph enters the burning building

Following their heart-to-heart, Steph and Gilly react to the noise coming from the village and run to investigate. When they find Mercedes and Malachy injured from the explosion, Gilly tries to phone an ambulance but the call box is out of order and Steph tells him to go and get help.

Steph sees that Amy's trapped in the flat and decides to go in and rescue her. Gilly then returns from phoning 999 to be told by Mercedes that Steph has gone into the burning building.

As Mercedes steadies the ladder, Steph passes Leah down to Gilly. Steph goes back in to get Lucas then, despite Gilly's pleading, returns for the final time to get Amy. Gilly shouts Steph's name - will she get out alive?
