He holds up his lighter and threatens to set the whole place on fire if anybody moves.
But as everyone tries to escape Sam drops his lighter and the whole pub bursts into flames.
Upstairs Steph desperately tries to rouse Jake from his drowsy alcoholic state…
Frankie and Jack are shocked when they return to a scene of horror and devastation; who will survive the fire?

OH MY GOD!!!! That was the saddest hollyoaks I've ever seen. I cried for the whole last episode... and I still can't believe that both Sophie and Mel have died. It won't be the same with out them and Joe was so brave going back to save Olivia.

Oh my God!!! I was so upset on the day it was aired because I had to work. I've watched the omnibus today and was crying buckets! I wasn't really that bothered about Mel and Sophie as I've never really liked them. I was crying over the loss of one of, it not the best student character in Hollyoaks - Joe. I'm at university and know many guys like Joe, I surpose when you are studing at the same time as characters in soaps such as Hollyoaks you tend to understand them more. I felt like I had lost one of those friends of mine while watching. I'm really going to miss seeig the rediculous things he'd get up to. A fantastic episode and Joe will be missed greatly

It was the best but sophie was my fave character in the show and I can't believe she is gone.... I was almost in tears when she died in Russes arms ..... and I can't believe joe and olivia are gone too. I was hoping that joe and zoe got together but the best is still to come.

I thought this episode was amazing I’d been watching Hollyoaks for a few years even though I was just 10 (I’m an addicted soap fan). Me and my sister were sitting on the ends of our seats and we thought the shear terrifying part was amazing it was really a great cliff hanger that I’m sure got first time viewers addicted to the soap!
