'Neighbours' star splits from boyfriend

Former Neighbours star Stephanie McIntosh has ended her four-year relationship with star AFL player Nick Riewoldt, reports The Daily Telegraph.

The couple, who have been besieged with persistent rumours that their relationship was on the rocks for months, confirmed their decision to end their long-distance relationship via a mutually-released statement.

"Due to physical long distance, indefinite time apart and understanding the importance of each other's careers right now, we have mutually gone our separate ways," the couple said. "This wasn't an easy decision, but one we've made together and we both support each other's dreams."

McIntosh, who left Neighbours in 2007 to launch a music career, has spent the past 12 months pursuing her acting ambitions in Los Angeles, while Riewoldt remained in Melbourne to serve as captain of the St Kilda Football Club.
