Bower:
Neighbours executive producer Susan Bower has said that she should have killed off Harold Bishop.

In May, Erinsborough legend Harold, played by Ian Smith, left Ramsay Street for good to travel around Australia and visit his granddaughter Sky (Stephanie McIntosh) after more than 20 years on air.

Speaking exclusively to DS, Neighbours executive producer Susan Bower said: "To be honest, I just wish that with the amount of discussion that happened, and I have to say that it is ultimately my decision, I think we should've killed the character off."

After suggesting that Harold should have succumbed to cancer, Bower refused to rule out the possibility of the character one day returning to Ramsay Street, adding: "You never say never. I just think that if you do it too many times, though, the audience just gets p*ssed off."
