Peter Moon to guest star in 'Neighbours'
Australian comedian Peter Moon is the latest celebrity to film a guest spot with Neighbours.

Moon, who starred on classic Australian sketch comedy series Fast Forward, will appear as flamboyant theatre producer Terry Kearney and began filming on Monday.

Speaking to the Herald Sun, Moon spoke about his initial audition for the soap over 20 years ago when he hoped to land the now legendary role of Harold Bishop.

"Ian Smith beat me to it, so it is kind of weird thinking about the life I could have had," he said.

"When I auditioned, I went into wardrobe and they gave me a pair of shoes to wear that had Harold written on them, so there is a sense of unfinished business."

Moon's first appearance on the soap will air early next year.
