'Neighbours' star wants George Michael cameo

Neighbours star Jackie Woodburne has named George Michael as her dream celebrity guest for the soap.

Woodburne, who plays long-standing Ramsay Street resident Susan Kennedy, revealed that she would love the singer to appear for a cameo when he visits Australia for a tour next year.

Speaking to PA, the actress commented: "I think George Michael's coming to Australia in February. It would be lovely if he came on the show. That would be fantastic."

Earlier this year, popstar Lily Allen filmed alongside Alan Fletcher (Karl Kennedy) and Matthew Werkmeister (Zeke Kinski) for a one-off episode of the programme.

Discussing her appearance, Woodburne added: "I wasn't there that day. I was very disappointed because I do enjoy her. I think Alan stole her heart that day!"

The soap star recently said that she would like to see a Kennedy reunion for Neighbours' 25th anniversary.
