'Neighbours' Summer wants family return

Neighbours star Jordy Lucas has revealed that she would love the rest of her screen family to return to Erinsborough.

The actress has taken over from Marisa Siketa in the role of Steph Scully's stepdaughter Summer Hoyland on the Ramsay Street soap.

In an interview with LastBroadcast, Lucas confirmed that she would now like Summer's dad Max (Stephen Lovatt) and aunt Izzy (Natalie Bassingthwaighte) to make comebacks for a full-scale Hoyland reunion.

She explained: "I don't really know if any of the Hoylands are returning, I haven't heard anything, but I would love it if Izzy came back. And Max because it would be nice for Summer to show another side of herself with her father."

Lucas said that she hopes to be part of the programme for a "long time" and promised that there is "love, heartbreak and some really fun stuff" ahead for her character.

Meanwhile, speaking about the challenges of being involved in a recast, she explained: "It was a little weird and some pressure taking over an established role because of the expectations. But I hope viewers embrace the new parts of Summer."
