British fans of the show will see the whodunit plot begin later this week when Ramsay Street villain Paul Robinson is pushed from the mezzanine level of Lassiters in the 6,000th episode.
As revealed by Paul's portrayer Stefan Dennis earlier this week, most of the programme's cast were unaware of who the culprit was during filming of the shock storyline.
However, Fletcher - who plays Kennedy patriarch Karl - told Digital Spy that he never doubted his screen family during the period of uncertainty on set.
The actor explained: "I never even considered the possibility that a Kennedy could have pushed Paul, although there have been plenty of times in the history of their relationship that Karl might have wanted to!"
Meanwhile, Fletcher also reflected on how proud he was to see the long-running programme reach its 6,000th episode.
He said: "I've been lucky enough to be part of many milestones in Neighbours history from the 3,000th episode onward. However, the 6,000th episode was truly special, as it took the show into the record books as the longest-running Australian drama of all time."
