Scott Major: 'I'll miss Carla Bonner'

Neighbours star Scott Major has spoken of how sad it was to say goodbye to long-term Ramsay Street regular Carla Bonner.

The actor, who portrays Lucas Fitzgerald in the show, told Holy Soap that losing Bonner - whose character Steph Scully is facing a lengthy jail sentence - was like bidding farewell to a relative.

Major said: "It was very sad. Bons and I did a lot of work together over the time. We bounced together well. There were emotional scenes and passionate scenes.

"Working that closely with someone, they become part of your family. You spend 13 hours together five days a week, and you see each other more than your real family sometimes."

However, the actor said that he did not doubt that his former co-star would shine in her subsequent career.

"She's an extreme talent so won't have any problems," Major commented.

"I heard a rumour she's moving into the theatre world. I know she's been auditioning. She'll go up and up and I think she'll be popping over to the UK at some point too."
