Jordan Smith has revealed that he enjoyed filming the Neighbours fire scenes that are due to air this week.

The plot sees Smith's character Andrew Robinson and Summer Hoyland (Jordy Lucas) get caught up in a blaze because of some broken Christmas lights.

Smith told Holy Soap of the shoot: "It was great fun because we had a lot of special effects and pyrotechnics and I've never worked in the studio with so many people. It gave me a sense of what it would be like on an action movie. I loved it."

The actor also suggested that Andrew should be with Natasha Williams (Valentina Novakovic) rather than Summer because they have more in common.

He commented: "Everyone says Summer and they're probably right, however, I actually think Natasha is the one. Andrew and Natasha are very alike and because they do manipulate people and are street cunning, they are more likely to forgive each other for these traits, whereas with Summer, she would cool off as soon as Andrew is up to no good."

The 21-year-old further confessed that Andrew is to go "off the rails" in the near future.

He added: "There is a major event in Andrew's life which sends him off the rails. He becomes involved with some illegal business and gets in too deep but won't ask for help, and it comes back to trying to please his father. And the most unlikely person does try to help."
