'Neighbours' star backs "exciting" plot

Valentina Novakovic has praised the latest twist in her Neighbours love triangle storyline.

Scenes which recently aired in Australia and due to be broadcast in the UK next week show the actress's alter ego Natasha Williams tell a massive lie to boyfriend Andrew Robinson (Jordan Smith), declaring that she is pregnant.

Natasha's shock announcement comes after she discovers that Andrew has been cheating on her with Summer Hoyland (Jordy Lucas), leaving her desperate to make them feel guilty for their betrayal.

In an interview with Inside Soap, Novakovic commented: "Andrew has lots of thinking to do and his decisions will affect everyone. It's a very exciting storyline and I couldn't wait to find out what's going to happen as things develop."

Discussing Andrew's immediate reaction to her 'news', she said: "To her surprise, Andrew doesn't lash out or run back to Summer. He believes he's going to be a dad and takes that seriously."

UK fans will see Natasha launch her scheme in next Tuesday's episode.
