'Neighbours' star hopes for Natasha change

Natasha is currently deceiving boyfriend Andrew Robinson (Jordan Smith) by falsely claiming that she is expecting his baby. She came up with the plot to manipulate him after discovering that he had been unfaithful by embarking on a secret romance with Summer Hoyland (Jordy Lucas).
In an interview with Digital Spy, Novakovic confirmed that the situation is likely to end badly for Natasha in the coming weeks.
Asked whether the experience could change Natasha, the actress replied: "I hope so. You would think she would start to grow up. She'll have to realise she can't keep lying - eventually everyone will turn against her and the one thing Tash can't cope with is being alone."
She continued: "I've played the villain for over a year now so I would like to show a softer, funnier side of Tash, but she is what she is and it takes time to change a character."
Novakovic also expressed a desire for show bosses to explore Natasha's history and background in forthcoming plotlines.
"I am hoping that we'll delve into what happened to her mother and it develops into a larger story with her dad and he explains what happened," she said. "I'd love her mum to turn up one day and I know Sandy [Winton] would too."
Natasha continues to deceive Andrew on UK screens this week as they attend a pre-natal class together, which makes her start to feel guilty about the fantasy she has created.
