The actress has been back on screen in the role of Lyn Scully for almost two years, but fans will see her bow out from Ramsay Street again within the next few months.
Speaking to TV Week about her departure, Andrewartha commented: "I originally came back in a guest role and ended up staying for nearly two years, so the extra time has been a bonus."
She added: "It's been tremendous fun and I'll miss it, but it's time to try some new things. At the moment I'm looking at some projects that I'm very excited about, which may take me interstate or overseas."
Andrewartha's screen daughter Carla Bonner also recently left Neighbours after 11 years in the role of Steph Scully.
Other cast departures in the past few months have included Jane Hall (Rebecca Robinson), Erin Mullally (Declan Napier), and Matthew Werkmeister (Zeke Kinski).
