The actor, who has played Ramsey Street villain Paul on and off since 1985, claimed that Paul won't be starting a new relationship just yet following the end of his marriage to departed character Rebecca Napier.
"I think he is well and truly done with relationships for the moment since his heart was broken by Rebecca," Dennis explained to the Neighbours website. "Paul is the sort of bloke who would say, 'OK, I'm done with women', and get on with the other thing's in his life."
Dennis added that he thinks the show's writers should wait a while before giving Paul another romance storyline, admitting that he is eager to take the character back to his villainous roots.
"I think there should be a bit of time before the next romance and in the meantime, he'll cause havoc," he said.
Dennis admitted that one of the most enjoyable things about playing a character like Paul is that people either love or hate him.
