'Neighbours' exec: 'We'd love to have Adele'

Adele has been invited to join the cast of Neighbours by the soap's executive director.

The 'Someone Like You' star recently revealed that she is a big fan of the Channel 5 programme, and would like to duet with and make a cameo appearance alongside Ian Smith's Harold Bishop.

"I love Neighbours and especially Harold," the singer had said. "He plays the tuba so I'd love to ask him to play on some of the tracks. In return I could do a cameo on Neighbours like Lily Allen did. But I have to overcome my fear of flying all that way first."

Responding to the comments, Susan Bower has now said that the show would "love" the 22-year-old to appear.

"I can promise Adele she would receive a huge Neighbours welcome from all the cast and crew. We would love her to have some fun with us on Ramsay Street," she commented. "I'm a huge fan and I know a number of the cast are also."

Adele is currently at number three in the Australian singles chart with 'Rolling In The Deep'.
