'Neighbours' Scott McGregor eyes UK, Hollywood roles

Scott McGregor who plays Mark Brennan in Neighbours
Neighbours star Scott McGregor has revealed that he dreams of landing acting work in the UK and US following his departure from the soap.

The actor recently filmed his final scenes as Erinsborough police detective Mark Brennan, who will soon bow out on screen in dramatic circumstances.

Discussing his future plans, McGregor has now expressed a desire to secure a part on a British soap.

"I would love to be on Corrie or EastEnders," he told the Daily Star. "I've had some meetings with some of their top people."

The 31-year-old also explained that he has meetings lined up in America over possible film work.

"It would be amazing to be a part of the Hollywood scene," he said. "I'd love to do action movies. I don't really see myself as a comedy actor but it would be great to work on a film with Will Ferrell.

"And I'd love to work with Sienna Miller! She's hot. I've got some meetings in New York and Hollywood so we'll have to wait and see."

Brennan's final Neighbours storyline sees him forced to enter witness protection due to his involvement in a police corruption case.
