Neighbours favourite Jackie Woodburne has admitted that she could not take on a journalism job like her character Susan Kennedy.

Susan embarked on her latest career in 2008 and viewers have recently seen her befriend seriously ill Jim Dolan at the Erinsborough Hospital while researching one of her articles.

However, Woodburne told the Daily Star: "She became a journalist in about three weeks, which to any true professional must have been so insulting.

"She went from being a school principal to a journalist in pretty much a seamless way. I was very impressed but I certainly couldn't do it in real life."

Asked whether she has a "nosey" attitude like a journalist, the actress replied: "Some might say nosey. I prefer to say I am a keen observer of human nature."

Woodburne recently praised the Kennedys' current marriage crisis storyline, describing it as an "exciting" plot.
