The cast of Australian soap Neighbours are at war - over a weekly trivia event for British backpackers.
"Backpacker King" George Josevski has run the competition at Sydney's Coolabah Restaurant and Bar for a number of years, charging $35 for fans to test their knowledge and meet some of their favourite actors from the show. Josevski has the backing of programme producer Fremantle Media and also provides tours of the Neighbours set for fans.
However, Ryan Maloney - who plays Ramsay Street favourite Toadie Rebecchi - has set up a rival event in direct competition with the official trivia night and charges just $28.
Josevski has maintained the support of Alan Fletcher (Dr Karl Kennedy), Nell Feeney (Janelle Timmins) and Damien Bodie (Dylan Timmins).
However, Maloney's actions have been backed by a number of his colleagues, including Ian Smith (Harold Bishop), Stefan Dennis (Paul Robinson), Natalie Blair (Carmella Cammeniti) and Carla Bonner (Steph Hoyland).
"I am heartbroken and feel very much let down," Josevski told the Sunday Herald Sun.
