'Neighbours' star discusses "emotional" exit

Neighbours star Stephanie McIntosh burst into tears as she prepared to film her final scenes for the Aussie soap.

The actress, who has played troubled teen Sky Mangel for four years, announced last year that she was quitting the show to pursue a pop career. Her final episode will be screened in the UK next week.

Sky decides to leave Ramsay Street after realising that it is unfair to keep baby Kerry away from her father, Dylan.

"Sky has been through a whirlwind, but she leaves on a happy note," Stephanie is quoted by The Sun as saying. "It was emotional. I cried before they said, 'action'. It was tough but I did it."
