Alan Dale hits out at 'Neighbours' chiefs
Alan Dale has claimed that he left Neighbours after protesting at the "greedy" and "nasty" behaviour of the show's producers.

The actor played Jim Robinson on the Aussie soap from 1985 to 1993. He has since gone on to appear in a number of hit US shows, including The X-Files, 24, The O.C. and Ugly Betty.

Speaking to The Stage magazine about his time on the programme, Dale revealed: "It was sweet and the people I worked with were sweet, most of them.

"But the producers were greedy and nasty. There are many examples of the things these people did and, as far as I know, are still doing.

"When you live in a country where there is not much else to do as an actor, there isn't much choice but to put up with it. But I used to fight them all the time, which is one of the reasons we parted company."
