'Neighbours' actor plans to focus on music
Neighbours star Daniel O'Connor has revealed that he will be concentrating on music after he leaves the soap.

The actor has decided to quit his role as Erinsborough's Ned Parker, as reported last month. He will film his final scenes in April.

O'Connor first found fame in Oz after he auditioned for the 2004 series of Australian Idol and made it through to the live shows. However, he put his music career on hold after landing his Neighbours role in 2005.

"To try and do music and the show at the same time is really hard," the Daily Star Sunday quotes Daniel as saying. "There'll always be the chance I might go back one day. But right now I just want to concentrate on my music."
