Pics: The trial begins in 'Neighbours'

It's a difficult day for almost everyone on Ramsay Street as Steph's trial for culpable driving begins in today's episode of Neighbours.
As she arrives at the County Court, Steph is conscious that everyone seems to be staring at her and she's plagued by fresh feelings of guilt when she spots that Donna has arrived to watch the proceedings.
When the hearing kicks off, Kate takes the stand as the first witness and offers support to Steph by claiming that there was no way she could have prevented the tragic accident which led to Ringo's death.
However, Sam pulls no punches with Kate and points out that she gave a rather different version of events in her original police statement, when she said that Steph was driving "way too fast" to see Ringo in time.
Continuing to pick holes in Kate's new story, Sam suggests that the student teacher could have been influenced to change her testimony by those closest to her. She also tries to get through to Kate by pointing out that her mother died in similar circumstances.
With things getting personal in the courtroom, it looks like Steph's trial could provide some nasty moments for Ramsay Street's residents in the days ahead…
